 It’s time for the weekly writing update.

Lynxeen and The Crystal Plinth have continued to speak to me, as you’ll see below. I’m making all kinds of progress on them, especially Lynxeen. I’m having all kinds of fun writing these stories, even though there is a small part in one of the dark corners of my mind that feels bad Tribunal is still unfinished.

However…

I have learned the hard way about how well it works out when I try to write something other than what my creativity wants to write, so I’m chasing Lynxeen and The Crystal Plinth until I finish them.

I’m pretty sure that I’ve already mentioned in last week’s post that I have the titles for the next two Shepherd Security Services books, plus story concepts. Unless something changes between now and then, I’ll probally roll right into Vorcalix (SSS #4) when I finish Lynxeen.

In the past, I’ve almost had to take a period of downtime after finishing a novel. I’d like to reach a point where I don’t need to do that, but I don’t know if its a ‘me’ thing, an experience thing, or something else entirely. I’m not even sure how to go about figuring that out, either.

I’m trying to think if there’s anything else I want to add as part of this writing update, but it’s already been a long day, and the idea of sleep is very seductive. I think we’ll stick a fork in this and call it ‘done.’
