Right, then… the first piece of news is that I have extracted the text from the January 4th post from a database backup and restored it. I grabbed the screenshot of my Writing Log that was already in my Media library a few days ago when I put up the filler text until I could make myself spin up a Linux VM to get that post text.
I could go through what I did step by step, but frankly, not even I am so evil I want to bore you that much.
This post also serves as my third weekly writing update.
Writing has been… a challenge.
Well, that’s not quite true. My sleep schedule has been thoroughly fucked, and my writing has been collateral damage from that. I am not happy about that and am working to get all that sorted out by the end of the month.
In other news, we had a temporary reprieve from sub-freezing temperatures and even a little rain. Said rain promptly washed away or melted any snow, revealing the ice underneath. Which promptly became wet ice.
Folks… there’s very little that’s slicker than wet ice.
I need to get some salt or ice melt in sufficient quantities to deal with that, which sounds like a project for later today (i.e. Sunday the 19th).
But for now… there’s writing to be done.
Stay safe out there.
I own all of your books except the 2 private eye books and Cole and Shrexx 4. I can only find that book in audible and I prefer to read not listen. Since I read about a book a day I usually use kindle unlimited but your stories are so excellent that I bit the bullet and purchased them all series by series as I will be rereading them all.
Where can I find a digital copy of C & S 4 to purchase please. Thank you for writing such excellent, well written stories
Hi, Cherylin,
Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. I appreciate your interest in my stories. While they are not available in Kindle Unlimited (KU), my stories are available via Kobo Plus and Everand.
Even though I started out publishing my titles to KU, I will never do so again, because of their ebook-exclusivity requirement. Both of the reading subscription services above do not require exclusivity, and I would love to see my favorite writers migrate wide and start publishing through one or (preferably) both.
In regards to your question about The Fires of Aurelius, I unpublihsed it as part of my plan to bring the Cole & Srexx series back from the dead. That didn’t happen, and I’ve just been dragging my feet on re-publishing it. Immediately prior to writing this reply, I started the process of re-publishing it on the major storefronts, including Amazon. It should be live by the end of the week. Possibly sooner.
My overactive conscience requires me to provide this disclaimer. Fires is the only title in my catalog that I am not proud of. My editor at the time said it was a good story, just not a good Cole & Srexx story. However, it does wrap up most of the outstanding plot points of the series.
I hope the days treat you and yours well. Stay safe out there.
Regards,
Rob
