This should be one of my shorter posts. I’m dragging a little bit at the moment, because today’s the second day of fixing my sleep schedule so that I’m on days and evenings, as opposed to afternoons and nights.
I’ve made some changed to the homepage on the site. There are two new sections: my current project and all the other in-progress titles.
For the In-Progress Titles, you will note that there is no ETA listed. Hell… even my Current Project doesn’t have an ETA, so please, don’t ask. I’ll tell you when it’s finished and when it’ll go up for pre-order.
I’ve been struggling with Torvalin, despite knowing what I want to write (for the most part). It is reaching the point where I think I might be trying to write the wrong story.
My creativity is funny like that. Sometimes, even though I’m really excited about Story A, it would much rather tell me Story B. The problem—as you can see on the homepage—is that there are enough options for Story B that figuring out which one my creativity wants to tell can be a slight challenge.
I don’t like having seven In-Progress Titles. But there again, given how my mind seems to work, I’m not sure I can do anything about it. I originally thought I was doing okay if I could keep the list to five or less, but I think I’ll go with ten or less, just so I have one less thing to gripe at myself about.
I haven’t written on Torvalin in a few days. Yesterday, I put 4,000+ words into the first book of the shifter series I want to have in the Draco-Verse… or at least think I want to have in the Draco-Verse. It will be a much more light-hearted vision of shifters than my Primogenitor Saga. As with Primogenitor, I took the overall implementation of shifter fantasy (or at least how it looks to me) and changed one thing.
No, I won’t tell you what that one thing is, either. Figuring out what I changed from “normal” shifter fantasy is part of the payoff of reading the story. 😁
Today, I wrote on Tribunal for the first time since January or February. I think I’ll see how far I can go with that one. I don’t like that I haven’t written it yet. I’m guessing someone read one of my statements here that Tribunal will complete Sorcerous Pursuits, because I received an email a while back stating that I needed to “channel my inner Robert Jordan.”
We’ll see about that. Considering what I want to do in Tribunal, I’m not sure there will be anything left for the series to cover.
Come to think of it, I’m not sure the Draco-Verse shifter series starter is on the list of In-Progress Titles, either. If I’m right about that, it’s a whoopsie on me part.
But it will also be tomorrow’s problem. I’m yawning like a fool, which means it’s time for me to sign off and get some sleep.
If you’re reading this, thanks for sticking with me. I hope the days treat you and yours well.
Stay safe out there.
