2022 Writing Challenge: Day 2

Hi, and welcome to Day Two of my 2022 Writing Challenge.

It’s been an interesting day for me. I want to say productive, and I suppose it has been in a certain sense. I finished processing all the pre-existing content for The Fall of Skullkeep, so everything from here on will be new, original words. That will be good.

I had one session of writing new, original words today. I removed a section of what became Chapter 10, which made it considerably under my desired word count for a chapter. It definitely isn’t low on words now.

Session One
———-
4:45pm – 6:09pm
Word Count: 1,965
Averaging 1,403.57 words per hour

Daily Word Count (original words): 1,965
Total Writing Time (original words): 1 hour and 24 minutes

Monthly Word Count (original words): 3,265

Now, as with yesterday, this doesn’t appear to be a lot of progress on The Fall of Skullkeep on the surface. However, what I’m not recording as part of the ‘offical’ writing log is that I worked through a grand, whopping total of 12,639 words today, which includes the original words I wrote to shore up Chapter 10.

I have some company admin stuff to handle tomorrow, and I’m hopeful that it won’t take too long. From here on out, everything will be new, original words that count toward my daily and annual challenge, and I’d rather not spend half the day in phone calls.

Alrighty. I think that’s enough of an update for today. Tomorrow, I’ll start writing at Chapter 12.

Be safe out there, and have a little fun, too.
