Hello, and good day to you.
As I write this, it’s a sunny Saturday afternoon. The outside temperature is kinda nice, a balmy 68 degrees.
I was too wiped out last night when I finally stopped writing to post this update, and I have to admit that I’m still kinda yawning. I’m hoping this whole ‘waking up still feeling a smidge tired’ thing is just a reaction to pushing myself to write more than I have before and will fade with time.
That would be nice.
Of course, it might also have something to do with not having had breakfast yet… but I’ll sort that out as soon as I finish this.
I did not have another 5,000-word day yesterday. However, with what I wrote, I would need to subtract around 2,300 words to be at the weekly goal of 25,000. There’s a part of me that wonders if I should maybe take the day and relax, since I hit my target for the week.
But I’m not sure that would service the intent of the challenge: build a daily writing habit.
Plus I’m really enjoying writing again.
I think I’ll keep going as I am for now. I have a couple sub-challenges for the month of November I’d like to hit… in addition to (or maybe along with) the Q4 Challenge. One of which is the sidebet I have with myself on whether I’ll be a drooling idiot by the time December rolls around. 😜
Alrighty. Let’s move on to the data!
Daily Word Count: 4,875
Weekly Word Count: 27,238
Words Remaining to 25,000: -2,238
