The past few weeks have been kinda crazy for me.

And honestly, as I sit here typing this, I’m having a bit of difficulty picking out a few items to show you just how crazy it’s been. Huh… I wonder if that’s a symptom of the crazy.

But I digress!

I have been making progress on proofing audio. I finished proofing The Shepherd‘s audio on the 30th of March, and I already have finalized audio back. The service that handles eBook and audiobook fulfillment for Knightsfall Press’s website (BookFunnel… awesome people, by the way) is currently processing the audio files. I can’t create a sales delivery action until the files are processed, which means that the audiobook is not available for order yet on Knightsfall Press. I imagine it will be ready to complete the sales delivery by Sunday.

I have started the process of publishing The Shepherd on Amazon and Kobo. I’ll do the same for Apple, Barnes & Noble, and Google Play later this weekend… maybe tomorrow.

If you’d like to read The Shepherd sooner rather than later, you can click this handy link that will take you directly to the book’s product page on Knightsfall Press. Once I get three or four books published in this series, I’ll drop the price of The Shepherd to $2.99.

Oh… that’s a good point I should mention.

I will be testing increasing all of my series starters from Free to $2.99 later this month.

There is a school of thought in the indie author world (and maybe in the wider marketing world) that says one should have a loss leader. A loss leader is an item that you give away for free that will (hopefully) draw potential customers into your business. In this case, I have three: AwakeningIt Ain’t Over…, and Smilodon. I am going to run the test to see if the company’s overall monthly revenue goes up, goes down, or stays the same. I guess we’ll see.

In other news…

I continue to close in on “The End” of Tempus. The climax is coming along well, and I feel like it’s appropriate to the story and will lead into the denouement/validation (i.e. the ending of the book) very well.

When I need to let my thoughts regarding Tempus percolate, I plink around throwing words at Colfyr, Book 2 of Shepherd Security Services. It’s coming along nicely as well. I’m not quite to the climax yet. I think I still have a bit more writing on this one before I get close to the climax and ending. But it’s not as far as it was.

Once I get these two titles finished and out in the world, I’ll turn to Tribunal, which will be Book 3 of Sorcerous Pursuits. I’m looking forward to writing that one!

Alrighty. I think I’ve rambled enough for now.

I hope the days treat you and yours well.

Stay safe out there.
